Marlene Townsell, DVM, MS, DACVIM (SAIM)

Dr. Marlene Townsell is a Southern California native whose love of animals led her to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where she received her undergraduate degree in Animal Sciences.
After completing her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, she followed her passion for specialty medicine and completed a one-year rotating Internal Medicine and Surgery Internship at Kansas State University, followed by a three-year Internal Medicine Residency at Auburn University.
She also received her Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences at Auburn University while completing her residency.
Dr. Townsell is a board-certified Internal Medicine specialist and her special interests include proteinuric renal diseases, endocrine disorders of dogs and cats, and minimally invasive procedures.
In her spare time, she enjoys going to the beach with her poodle, Weasley, and her vizsla, Denali, traveling, visiting Disneyland, and being with her family.
