Marie Keith, DVM, MPH, DACVECC

Dr. Marie Keith is originally from the San Francisco Bay Area but grew up mostly in Kansas and the Washington, DC area. She then went to college at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she majored in Biological Sciences and minored in Global Health Studies and Classical Studies.
She moved back to Manhattan, Kansas to attend veterinary school at Kansas State University. Fascinated by the intersection of human and animal health, particularly in infectious diseases, she pursued a concurrent Masters in Public Health.
After completing her veterinary degree, she moved to Philadelphia, where she completed a one year internship at the University of Pennsylvania followed by a three year residency in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine.
Dr. Keithβs professional interests include sepsis, coagulation, and transfusion medicine as well as post-operative care of critically ill patients.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Keith enjoys hiking, exploring new restaurants, boxing, attending concerts, traveling and hanging out with her cats, Lily and Linus.
