Katrina Jung, DVM

Dr. Katrina Jung grew up in Southern California and obtained her undergraduate degree of Bachelor of Science at University of California, Santa Barbara where she double majored in aquatic biology and zoology. Her veterinary education began in the West Indies of Grenada at St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine.

After a couple of years there, Dr. Jung went on to complete her veterinary medicine education and training at Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine. After graduating, Dr. Jung completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Michigan Veterinary Specialists (now Blue Pearl), and an Emergency and Critical Care Specialty Internship at University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. She was an emergency and critical care clinician in Las Vegas prior to starting her new adventure here at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital.

In her time off, Dr. Jung likes to practice her yoga skills (yogi in training), and spend time with her husband and furry feline at home. She is a enthusiastic foodie who loves to explore new cities and states through their food culture by trying every new and exciting restaurant there is possible.

Now that she has returned to California to be closer to family, Dr. Jung is looking forward to hiking and camping in the wonderful state parks, exploring the wine country, and taking in the views of the beautiful California Pacific Coast.
