Jenelle Serex, DVM

ACCESS – San Fernando Valley

Dr. Jenelle Serex was born and raised in Northern California. She adventured to the Rocky Mountains to complete both her Bachelor and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine studies at Colorado State University. After finally conquering the green runs on the local ski slopes, Dr. Serex was excited to be back by the ocean and returned to California to complete an internship focused on emergency, surgery, and general practice of companion animals.

During her internship, Dr. Serex found her passion for emergency medicine, and after completion, she worked at a specialty hospital as an overnight emergency veterinarian. Throughout her work, she saw the growing need for Urgent Care services to provide care for patients who need quick care but do not fall into the emergency category, which has drawn her to the ACCESS Urgent Care Department.

Dr. Serex enjoys a variety of cases but has a special interest in dermatology, pet hospice, and helping pets suffering from gastrointestinal upset.

When not at work, you can find her trying new breweries with her husband, learning how to surf, entertaining her two mischievous cats, and enjoying the outdoors with her yellow Lab, Maui.
