Danielle Sawyer, DVM, DACVECC

Danielle’s energy, determination, and adaptability help her excel in practice and in life.

Raised in an Air Force family traveling from Japan to Belgium to the US, and growing up with small animals and exotics, instilled in Danielle a deep respect and care for all living beings no matter where she is.

Danielle successfully completed a rigorous residency in Emergency and Critical Care at ACCESS Culver City and then became Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care in 2020.

Previous training includes:

  • Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a concentration in Animal Behavior and Neuroscience at Michigan State in 2007 (Go Green!)
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Caribbean with clinical year at Michigan State 2007-2011
  • One-year Internship at Animal Specialty Group in Glendale, CA from 2011-2012
  • Two years overnight Emergency work in Thousand Oaks, CA from 2012-2014

Danielle is a perfect fit for Emergency and Critical Care due to her critical thinking skills, her dedication to the lives of her patients and her enjoyment of not knowing what is coming in the door next!

When not at work, Danielle is at home raising her daughter to be just as resilient, independent, and compassionate as her mom. Life is good!
