Brianna Smith, DVM, (Practice Limited to Emergency and Critical Care)

Dr. Brianna Smith knew from the very young age of six that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She attended veterinary school in the Caribbean, where she lived for three years.
When she returned to her hometown in Southern California, she came across a very pregnant stray dog, which she took in and named her Flower – they have been inseparable since. Unfortunately, Flower was diagnosed with an immune-mediated disease called ITP in 2020. This was a heartbreaking, personal experience that reinforced Dr. Smith’s passion for veterinary medicine and compassion for pet owners.
Dr. Smith’s favorite types of cases include anaphylaxis, anemia, and shock. In her spare time, Dr. Smith enjoys long-distance runs, hiking, and exploring new restaurants. In an open field, she enjoys playing soccer with her family.
