Dr. Melissa Wilson is a Southern California native. Her veterinary education began at California Polytechnic State university in San Luis Obispo, where she graduated with a Bachelor degree in Animal Science. She then moved to the beautiful Oregon coast and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oregon State university in 2017. Wanting to pursue specialty medicine, she completed a small animal rotating internship at Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle. Dr. Wilson moved back to California for two years of cardiology specialty training at VCA Animal Emergency and Specialty Center and Coast to Coast Cardiology.
Dr. Wilson’s special interests include cardiac interventional procedures, congenital anomalies, and degenerative valve disease. She shares her passion for veterinary medicine through client education and enjoys developing relationships with clients, their pets, and referring veterinarians to provide the best possible care for her patients.
When away from the hospital, Dr. Wilson enjoys exploring all that LA’s finest and not-so-finest restaurants can provide, cooking, hiking, and indoor gardening.
