Senior Pet Love…

This is Gayle. She works hard to keep her patients happy and this was no exception! She made a comfy carrier for this senior dog who was afraid when she was alone in her kennel. Thank you for being so sweet, Gayle!

Big Love for a Big Dog…

Our lover boy, Eddie, is back! He’s seen here snuggling Erika, an RVT in surgery, but he’s been getting kisses and pets from everyone!

CPR is a breath of fresh air in Northridge and Chatsworth!

Dr. Jen Stewart, one of our emergency and critical care doctors at ACCESS San Fernando Valley, recently gave two lunch and learns for the staffs at the Banfield Pet Hospitals in Northridge and Chatsworth!

She covered the steps of performing CPR, with a hands-on component where the staff practiced on Jerry, our CPR dummy dog (pictured). She gave tips and advice on what to do when CPR is needed, so it’s always great to have a refresher course on what to do in a stressful situation.

We Celebrated Tech Week!

National Veterinary Technician Week was a blast! We spent an entire week celebrating our technicians and staff who help keep our hospitals running every day.

This dedicated group of people ensures things run smoothly and efficiently while deeply caring for our clients and patients.

Tails from the road – Strut Your Mutt!

The ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital team was at the Strut Your Mutt event put on by the Best Friends Animal Society held at Exposition Park.

It was a great time to get the word out about all of our hospitals as people came from all over raise money for their furry friends. We even had some employees stop by our booth so it was great to have their support.

All in all, it was a wonderful cause, and we look forward to participating next year!

Tails from the road – Dr. Eatroff at Western U.

Dr. Adam Eatroff gave a lecture on hemodialysis at Western University in Pomona and there were almost 50 students in attendance from their internal medicine club! They were exposed to what ACCESS is capable of doing once they get out into the real world and start seeing patients.

Dr. Eatroff played professor and made sure to ask them a lot of questions, encouraging them to answer.

Thanks again Dr. Eatroff for planting seeds and exposing the vets of tomorrow to the dialysis treatments of today!
