Talli Hogen, DVM
ACCESS – LOS ANGELES
Dr. Talli Hogen is a native of the San Fernando Valley, and loves practicing back on her home turf. Dr. Hogen earned her BA in Environmental Sciences at UC Berkeley, and then went on to have many adventures including teaching, zoo keeping, assisting in organic chemistry class instruction, and wildlife rehabilitating before returning to school to obtain her DVM at the University of California, Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. At Davis, she dabbled in a wide array of species before choosing to work primarily with dogs and cats, and participated in many ambitious extra-curricular projects, with special interests in veterinary business, leadership, and communication.
She participated in a small animal rotating internship at Affiliated Animal Care in Virginia, where she fell in love with critical care and emergency practice. She completed additional critical care training at the University of Missouri before returning to the Los Angeles area and joining the ACCESS team.
Dr. Hogen’s professional interests include trauma, sepsis, and CPR. When not hard at work, she might be caught cooking up a storm, staying in shape at the gym and on the trails, creating art to hang on her fridge, exploring LA and other parts of the world, or lounging around with her very happy trio of pets – dogs Colonel Mustard and Mantra, and kitty Purrrrrrscilla.
Dr. Hogen is thrilled to be a part of the ACCESS, Los Angeles Residency Program in Critical Care and we are proud to have her as part of our team.
