Nicole Skilling, BVSc

Originally from British Columbia, Canada, Dr. Skilling completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver.
In 2007, she completed her Bachelor of Veterinary Science from Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Prior to joining ACCESS as an emergency doctor, she had been working as an emergency veterinarian in Calgary, Alberta, at one of the busiest emergency hospitals in Canada.
Over the course of her career, Dr. Skilling has had the opportunity to practice on a variety of different animal species and is experienced in numerous emergency procedures and surgeries. Dr. Skilling’s primary interests in emergency and critical care are trauma, management of critically ill cases, and emergency surgery.
In her spare time, she enjoys travelling and outdoor activities including running, soccer, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, volleyball, and paddle boarding. Dr. Skilling recently moved to Southern California with her cat, Zach, whom she adopted from Melbourne, Australia and her dog, Moose, whom she adopted in Canada after he was ran over by a motor vehicle and abandoned by his previous owner.
