Dr. Jennifer Stewart, DVM (practice limited to emergency & critical care)
ACCESS – SAN FERNANDO VALLEY
Originally from San Diego, Dr. Jennifer Stewart attended college at Boston University and California State University, Long Beach where she completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology and Zoology.
Dr. Stewart then went to veterinary school at the University of Minnesota after working as a veterinary technician for a few years. She completed a rotating internship at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital, and then followed her heart back to the Midwest to complete a residency in emergency and critical care at Lakeshore Veterinary Specialists in Glendale, Wisconsin. Her professional interests include CPR and shock management, mechanical ventilation, and end-of-life care and patient comfort.
Dr. Stewart returned from Wisconsin with her first ever dog, Angus, and a wonderful human, Ryan. She is having fun helping them get settled and exploring their new surroundings.
Outside of the emergency room, Dr. Stewart enjoys running, hiking, and spending time near the ocean. She loves hanging out with her three cats Roxy, Popeye, and Mabel, and dog Angus. She is excited to be back in California close to her family and friends, and we are happy to have her at ACCESS.
