Ashley Elbogen, DVM
ACCESS – SAN FERNANDO VALLEY
Dr. Ashley Elbogen was born in Los Angeles but grew up in Ventura, California. She started working as an ER/ICU veterinary technician at her local emergency and specialty clinic in 2007, which continued throughout her undergraduate and veterinary schooling.
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2008. She then attended the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, where she graduated with honors in 2014.
Following graduation, Ashley completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at Animal Specialty and Emergency Center in West Los Angeles. After completing her internship, she moved back to her hometown of Ventura and worked as an emergency doctor at Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group.
While emergency medicine is her passion, Ashley’s main interests include trauma, toxicology, and reproductive physiology (theriogenology) and she is elated to be working at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital, San Fernando Valley.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys yoga, traveling, hiking, wine tasting, scuba diving, snowboarding, and surfing. Of course, most of her spare time is spent with her fur children: Ruca, a chocolate lab/Doberman mix, and Fievel, a black cat with a stunning personality.
